The Brief
The developer, Alfred Homes, felt only bulthaup kitchens would complement the three luxury properties at Sleepers Hill, Winchester. The homes, designed by Adam Architecture and styled by Interior Designer, Emma Hooton are the epitome of contemporary luxury and designer style.
The Design
Creating a kitchen space for a new property development proposes a unique set of challenges. With a ‘normal’ project we would talk to the end users and define in detail what it is they want to see, cook and use the space for. When designing a space that will sell to an expected demographic, it is our experience that helps us put together a beautiful, functional kitchen.
The cooking area is focused on a single ‘run’ comprised of an island and tall units with integrated storage, ovens and cooling appliances. By using Corian for the island worktop material, the whole island appears to be made of a single piece, including the twin sinks which are seamlessly integrated into the worktop.
The oak veneer breakfast bar arrangement has a number of useful purposes for a family, from enjoying a morning coffee over breakfast to helping the children with their homework whilst cooking dinner.
