The Brief
When our Designer met our clients for the first time the objective was clear, ‘We are going to create a small temporary home, in an on-site building, to live in whilst we renovate our farmhouse. Our idea is to transform my old ceramic studio workshop into guest accommodation.’
The Design
The height of the room meant standard tall storage units looked too small. Extra-height cupboards defined the kitchen space and aligned the top of the units with the adjacent doorframe.
The couple wanted to incorporate a social dining space into the kitchen. A L-shape island bar-top, as opposed to a straight bar-top, established much more of a social layout suitable for dining together.
