The Brief
As part of a large renovation project undertaken in a Grade I listed building in the centre of Bath, Hobson’s Choice designed and installed a number of luxury bulthaup kitchens.
The Design
The central island, with a BORA induction cooktop and plenty of prep space, links the kitchen together. A 90mm thick breakfast bar with bar stool seating provides a space for guests to sit whilst conversing with the cook.
In the top-right corner of the plan, a small walk-in larder is accessed by full-height doors - hiding the area away when not in use.
A combination of Kaolin (near white) and Flint (dark island) furniture surfaces create a pleasant contrast that picks up accents from the hardwood flooring and interior decor.
On the kitchen island, 20mm Bianco Drift stone adds subtle texture and detail.
The kitchen opens out into a dining and living area with luxurious furniture and fittings. The Georgian architecture, high ceilings, decorative moldings, and wall panelling sit comfortably with the modern style of the adjacent bulthaup b3 kitchen.
The kitchen leads out onto a decked alfresco dining area, the perfect place to enjoy a summers evening.
