The Brief
Our clients love combining colourful and patterned surfaces with contemporary furniture and fittings. In their master ensuite bathroom, they wanted to create a warm, inviting space that offered plenty of functionality and stylish details.
The Design
Ensuring the bathroom felt light and spacious was a key aspect of the design. Positioning the freestanding bathtub beneath the large Crittall window draws the eye to an elegant focal point, as well as enabling natural light to flow into the room unobstructed.
Plenty of functional storage, along with numerous alcoves to display plants and ornaments, provides a home for items that may otherwise clutter surfaces when not in use. The half-height wall that hides the toilet from view as you enter the bathroom also features deep storage baskets for everyday items such as toilet rolls and towels.
Illuminated alcoves with patterned hexagonal tiles provide the perfect spot to display our client’s love of houseplants.
Vola brassware, finished in brushed copper, neatly ties together the shower, basin and bathtub mixer tap. In addition to facilitating easy temperature and flow adjustment, the individual shower controls allow our clients to choose whether to use the overhead shower or the separate hand spray.
The frameless minimalist Majestic shower screen features a single door with a perfect circular cut-out handle for access.
