Should utensils, appliances and ingredients be on display or would beautiful materials and subtle lighting be more appealing?
The basic idea involves the creation of different levels. Sliding panels are arranged at varying depths and can be shifted horizontally when required to reveal or hide specific functionality. Within a few seconds, the user can create either an efficient working environment or a comfortable living ambiance.
The basic principle for bulthaup b1 Milan 2016 is simplicity. The new b1 evolution is a response to people’s present-day lifestyles and ever-changing living configurations. A simple ‘plug and play’ modular system that adapts to the user.
The design language is consistent with existing bulthaup b1 furniture, focusing on the essentials using strong geometric forms and uniform surfaces. The focal point is the b1 countertop with freely selectable functions, providing a center for cooking together and social interaction.

The new bulthaup b+ Solitaires are designed to provide functional elements that blur the line between the kitchen and living area. We spend our happiest moments around the table. The bulthaup b+ table is constructed using a matt black aluminum frame onto which three solid wood elements are connected. The precisely crafted components create a beautifully balanced piece of timeless furniture.
Above the table an eye-catching b+ ceiling lamp mirrors the cross-shaped structure of the table frame. The LED lights are rotatable and can be seamlessly adjusted from warm to cold or from light to dark, thus enabling efficient illumination or an atmospheric ambiance.
With an induction cooktop, the 140 element becomes a cooking island for small rooms, an additional cooking point in a dining area or party room. The induction technology is integrated into a black aluminum body underneath a black ceramic plate. The illuminated graphic display of the cooktop indicates the operating status.
