Visiting the home of bulthaup
We work with many architects who love what bulthaup stands for; quality, precision engineering and timeless design. Recently, we organised a trip for 10 architects to the home of bulthaup in Aich, Germany. There is no better way to understand a product and keep up to date with the latest processes and designs than visiting the factory itself.
Seeing the manufacture first hand, the attention to detail and quality control at each stage explains why bulthaup have maintained their reputation as one of the best manufacturers in the world.
As well as seeing behind the scenes of the current manufacturing process we managed to understand the history of the company and it's key influencers by looking at some of the local sights. This included visiting the Olympic stadium which shows the design work led by Oto Aicher who later went on to collaborate with bulthaup.
Also based in Munich and on our tour was the BMW headquarters, often known as the BMW Four Cylinder" and the BMW museum both designed by Karl Schwanzer. The city showcases a real mix of modern and traditional architecture.
Unfortunately images can't be taken on the bulthaup factory floor, so if you would like to visit bulthaup and see behind the scenes, please let us know on 01793 490 685 or by email and we will try to organise another trip next year.
