Handmade in Wiltshire with traditional craft techniques and authentic materials
It doesn’t get much better than deciding to design a Heritage kitchen range for some of the most beautiful homes in England, and having a wealth of stunning architectural inspiration to draw from.
Being based in Bath, Winchester and the Cotswold corridor we are spoilt for choice with beautiful period properties. Whether it’s the generous and symmetrical proportions typical of a Georgian property, the white facades and arches of a Regency terrace or villa or the beauty of an old farmhouse, there is plenty of inspiration.
These properties have stood the test of time and we felt it important that our Heritage range would be a timeless classic worthy of the properties in which they will sit.
For this range we have really focused on the detail. In keeping with traditional buildings such as the Georgian townhouses in Bath, the range has beaded frames, a moulded panel door and decorative cornices and plinths.
For us, it’s not just a creative nod to a style, it’s making sure we reflect the character and quality of the period. Where we can, we choose the same craft techniques and source materials to ensure authenticity.
For example, even the glass has been carefully selected. Using a hand blown heritage glass known as reclamation glass ensures that even this feature has a slight wobble in it, exactly as you would expect in the windows of the property itself.
Details like this are the ones that make the difference. Features such as these ensure that the Hobson’s Choice Heritage kitchen has character, quality and authenticity, the very things that we admire in period properties.
